Daily Itinerary:

DAY 1 We fly to Washington, DC and meet our full time escort. Depart on our private motorcoach and enjoy a welcome dinner this evening at Cafe Deluxe, Tysons Corner.  Afterwards, we check into our hotel. Marriott Tysons Corner - Tysons Corner, VA (D)

Breakfast will be included at our hotels each morning. Arrive at Arlington National Cemetery. No land in America is more sacred than this square mile. See the the Changing of the Guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Visit the United States Capitol, the most recognized symbol of democratic government in the world. Also visit the Capitol Visitor Center, the United States Library of Congress, and tour the Supreme Court Building. This evening, enjoy dinner at Tony and Joe's Seafood Place, located in Georgetown's Washington Harbour. The restaurant offers sweeping views of the Potomac River, the Kennedy Center, and the beautiful Washington Harbour Fountains. After dinner, walk through the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts for a spectacular view of the city from the terrace. Continue with an Illuminated Monument Driving Tour and see Washington's grand buildings, memorials, and monuments sparkle before returning to our hotel for the evening. This morning, view the Cherry Blossom Parade from our Premium-Preferred Reserved Grandstand Seating. The Cherry Blossom Festival marks the celebration of the original gift of the 3,000 cherry trees by the city of Tokyo to the people of Washington, DC in 1912.  After the parade, visit the Newseum - the only interactive museum of news. Tonight, enjoy dinner at Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant. Later, stop at the National World War II Memorial. This newest memorial honors the 16 million who served in the armed forces of the U.S. during World War II, the more than 400,000 who died, and the millions who supported the war effort from home. Enjoy a Pink Tide Stroll and photo opportunity among the Japanese cherry trees along the Tidal Basin. See the Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial, the Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial, and the Jefferson Memorial. Stop for a photo opportunity of The White House and visit the White House Visitor Center, offering visitors a window into the president's iconic home. This afternoon, visit any of the Smithsonian Institution's museums on the National Mall. Enjoy dinner this evening on our own at our hotel or at a nearby restaurant. This morning, check out of our hotel and depart for Charlottesville, VA.  Arrive at the historic Michie Tavern and enjoy lunch. Costumed wait staff serve a hearty Colonial period fare buffet in this 200-year old converted log house. After lunch, visit Monticello, the primary plantation of Thomas Jefferson. Explore several exhibits that showcase the life of Thomas Jefferson. Later, visit Jefferson's architectural talents that are evident in the classic beauty of the University of Virginia.   Visit Montpelier, the home of James and Dolly Madison. Madison was the 4th President of the United States and Father of the Constitution. Enjoy lunch at the historic Mimslyn Inn and experience their "Vintage Southern Hospitality". After lunch, visit Lurary Caverns, the largest and most popular caverns in the East. Depart and enter Skyline Drive. We will pass rock cliffs, vistas, tunnels of trees, wildflowers, and banks of mountain laurel in bloom. Make several stops along the way to absorb the view and the peace. This evening arrive in Winchester, VA and check in to the pristine George Washington Wyndham Hotel.   Meet our Patsy Cline guide and begin a tour of Patsy Cline's hometown. She began her radio career at Winchester Radio Station (WINC) in 1946 at age 14. We see her historic house, Radio Station WINC, and pay a visit to her grave site. This afternoon, enjoy lunch on our own in downtown historic Leesburg. Visit the Marshall House, home of George C. Marshall a citizen-soldier-statesman and author of the "Marshall Plan". Surrounded by gardens in the historic district, this offered a retreat during WWII. Later, visit Long Branch, one of the most elegant manor homes in Virginia Hunt Country. Enjoy dinner this evening on our own at Piccadilly's Restaurant or along the pedestrian mall. This morning, visit the National Museum of the Marine Corps at Quantico. We invite you to follow in the footsteps of Marines. Afterwards, visit George Washington's Grist Mill and Distillery. Once owned and operated by George Washington, the grist mill exported high quality flour to the West Indies, England, and Europe, and the whiskey distillery was once the largest in America. Later, visit Mount Vernon, the estate of George Washington. Enjoy dinner this evening at Overwood Wood-Fired American Kitchen. Tonight, take a driving tour of Old Town Alexandria. See Christ Church, Robert E. Lee's Boyhood Home, Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Shop, and the George Washington Masonic National Memorial. Washington Dulles Airport Marriott - Dulles, VA (B,D)

Visit the Manassas Battlefield, where two major Civil War battles (Bull Run) were fought. The battlefield encompasses over 5,000 acres. Later,  visit the Smithsonian Institution's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center National Air and Space Museum. The Udvar-Hazy Center provides space for the objects that tell the history of aviation and space flight.  Afterwards, it will be time to depart for home. (B)
