| Day 1 | Sunday, 9/19/2010 - We fly to Oakland and board our private motorcoach and drive north over the San Francisco Bay to our hotel and home for the next 5 nights. We enjoy a get-acquainted dinner this evening. Doubletree Sonoma Wine Country Resort — Rohnert Park, CA (D)

| Day 2 | Monday, 9/20/2010 - Drive through the scenic Valley of the Moon for a morning tour of an olive oil factory. Then it’s on to Sonoma and the Viansa Winery for a Tuscan food & wine luncheon with winery tour. Stop in historic Sonoma for free time to explore. This afternoon, visit a top local winery for a special tour & tasting. Return to our hotel for a free evening.

| Day 3 | Tuesday, 9/21/2010 - Drive west to the Pacific coast at quaint Bodega Bay, location for Alfred Hitchcock's film The Birds. Motor north on Highway #1 along the scenic coastline to Jenner, then inland following the Russian River to the giant Sequoia trees. Stop at Armstrong Redwood State Park and enjoy a walking tour through the big trees. Then we visit a Champagne Winery for a tour, tasting and lunch. Enjoy a free evening. | Day 4 | Wednesday, 9/22/2010 - After a leisurely morning, we depart for the world-famous Napa Valley Wine Country. We begin our visit onboard restored vintage rail cars of the Napa Valley Wine Train for a delightful 3-hour journey through the beautiful Napa Valley. We enjoy a 3-course gourmet lunch onboard. This afternoon we visit the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) in Napa's historic Christian Brothers building for a tour and cooking demonstration. We return to our hotel for a free evening. | Day 5 | Thursday, 9/23/2010 - We enjoy a morning tour of the Luther Burbank Home & Gardens in Santa Rosa. Burbank was a world famous horticulturalist and gardener. We then drive to historic Healdsburg for shopping and a leisurely lunch on our own. We continue on to a nearby winery for another special tasting. We then visit the Charles Schultz Museum which is dedicated to the beloved Peanuts cartoonist. Return to our hotel and relax prior to our Farewell Dinner at a fine local restaurant. | Day 6 | Friday, 9/24/2010 - Drive from Rohnert Park south across the Golden Gate Bridge, through San Francisco to Woodside. Enjoy a tour of the elegant FILOLI Mansion & Gardens. It means Fight, Love, & Live and was the home of multi-millionaire, silver baron William Bourne. Then drive to the San Jose airport for our afternoon return flight home. (B) |
